POSITION: Staff Accountant – Accounts Payable
SALARY: $17.59 -19.88/hr, plus full benefits
HOURS: Full-time; 40 hrs/wk (M-F)
JOB LOCATION: Lillian Rice Center; 2nd & Blanchard, Seattle WA 98121

SUMMARY:
Responsible for accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and other general bookkeeping tasks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES will include:
1. Manage accounts payable, which includes obtaining proper staff’s authorization to pay; solving vendor billing issues; preparing regular check processing.
2. Maintain the AP Monthly Aging Report and reconcile to the AP General Ledger account.
3. Assist in Senior Center bookkeeping as requested, including transferring, integrating, and booking the Center sub-ledgers into the main General Ledger.
4. Perform bank reconcilations for bank accounts as assigned; reconcile adjustments to GL.
5. Track online credit card transactions, reconcile to bank statement, and import to GL.
6. Make journal entries and other miscellaneous adjustments requested by staff to correct expense allocations.
7. Deliver daily deposit to bank.
8. Other duties as necessary and/or required.

The Successful Candidate will have the following minimum qualifications. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions:
1. Associates Degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, or other related field required. Two (2) additional years of highly comparable experience may be substituted for the degree.
2. Two (2) years accounts payable experience required.
3. Highly skilled with Excel and Word required.
4. Experience with QuickBooks and Great Plains Dynamics is preferred.
5. Ten key proficiency.
6. Demonstrated analytical ability in accounting environment.
7. Must be able to maintain dependable attendance.
8. Must be able to work without supervision and contribute to a successful accounting team.
9. Must be bondable.

Note: All employees are subject to periodic Washington State Patrol Criminal History Background Checks and must complete a Criminal History Self-Disclosure Form.
