AmeriCorps VISTA Position with the City of Renton
Community Relations Intern to promote the city’s programs and services, to Renton’s diverse and non-English speaking communities.
The City of Renton has received a grant from the Washington State Service Corps, and is seeking to fill a one year internship (from 8/28/2009 – 8/27/2009) to help communicate and promote the city’s programs and services to the under-served and vulnerable populations in the city, particularly the city’s diverse and non-English speaking communities. The intern will create forums and strategies to target and better engage diverse community groups and build long-term relationships with community members. This internship is paid by the Washington State Service Corps/Americorps VISTA program.
* Stipend: $949/month (paid by Washington State Service Corps; & $4,725 tuition credit (or $1,200 cash) at year’s end.
