1) Fund Developer – Contract Position
ACLF seeks a temporary contract Fund Developer to play a key role in resource development for the organization. The Fund Developer will coordinate ACLF’s resource development activities including grant writing, sponsorship requests, annual appeal and other fundraising activities.
Fundraising
• Research and submit grant proposals.
• Sponsorship requests and follow-up.
• Coordinate annual appeal mailing and email campaign.
• Work with Executive Director on grant applications, sponsorship opportunities and ensure prompt follow-up and timely reporting.
• Work in cooperation with Fundraising Committee on fundraising strategy and timeline.
Qualifications:
– Fundraising and grantwriting experience.
– Exceptional written and oral communications.
– Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and multi-task
– Demonstrated proficiency in computer programs, particularly Microsoft Excel, Office and graphic design software.
– Available for evening and weekend meetings/events.
– Committed to the values and mission of ACLF to promote social, economic and political justice.
– Experience in working with communities of color.

2) MLK Vista Position Announcement
ACLF seeks a confident, energetic and organized Program Coordinator with strong, diverse skill sets to play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation of ACLF programs. This is a full-time temporary position for the period of October 1, 2010 – September 30, 2011. Duties include but not limited to program coordination in the following areas:
• Coordinate ACLF’s Community Leaders Program (CLP) recruitment, curriculum development, community project selection and mentoring. Assist with outreach and recruitment of community members interested in participating in ACLF’s CLP. Recruit and outreach to nonprofit organizations to submit community project partnership proposals to ACLF for CLP class team-building project. Staff and convene ACLF’s CLP committee. Coordinate the opening retreat launch of the CLP curriculum and support CLP participants once the program is under way.
• Coordinate leadership development trainings. Conduct community research and needs assessment on culturally competent and relevant leadership training needs. Research viable venues, solidify training topics, help recruit trainers/facilitators and conduct publicity.
• The position also provides logistical support to programs including making and organizing copies, binders, forms and sessions support as well as conducting program evaluation and recommendations.
